SoFi Stadium is a sports and entertainment complex in Inglewood, CA. It opened in September 2020 and serves as the home for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). The facility is a component of Hollywood Park, a master planned neighbourhood.
SoFi Stadium was designed by HKS. It seats 70,240 spectators for most events, with the ability to expand it with 30,000 additional seats for larger events and is the most expensive sports venue ever built.
Henderson Engineering, Lenexa, KS (HEI) was the mechanical engineer on the job. HEI designed the boiler and water heater systems and worked closely with ENERVEX on the venting systems designs. Due to the placement of the boiler system, the layout of the venting system was challenging with many changes of directions and long horizontal sections.
