Several dozen mechanical engineers,
22 pounds of BBQ,
114 laps around the go-kart track,
6 Learning Labs,
19 microbrew beer tasters,
And 1 Phantom-4 drone capable of flying 400 ft. altitude and 44mph!
Sound like a fun day? It definitely was.
This month’s ENERVEX Open House brought mechanical engineers and contractors together with knowledgeable mechanical draft systems experts at ENERVEX headquarters. Thanks to all of the people who broke away from their busy day to come learn how to improve mechanical draft, draft control, efficiency, sustainability, safety and compliance of their chimneys and boiler rooms.
Guests toured our manufacturing facility; filled their bellies; won great prizes; learned about the world’s best mechanical draft systems and exhaust fans (yes, we are bias); and returned to their offices knowing how to be even more awesome at what they do.
We heard such feedback as:
“I had no idea you guys had such a big facility.”
“I love the design of your office; we should do something like that.”
“I knew you guys did fans, but stock chimneys I did not.”
A valuable learning opportunity
It was an opportunity for us to get to know these guys, and for them to know us. But more importantly, they were able to get answers to their questions including how ENERVEX draft control systems work to:
Congrats to our prize winners, Ryan S. who aced our quiz and Kyle M., winner of Atlanta Falcons tickets for whipping everyone’s ass on our go-kart track! Kyle’s winning lap-time was 23.88 seconds. The all-time house record remains a force to be reckoned with.
If you missed the racing, talks, and other shenanigans, don’t worry. There will be many more chances! Follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook to stay in touch with future ENERVEX events, news and insights. Or just reach out here with your mechanical draft questions.
